What is a Mould Proof Coating?

A mould-proof coating is a stain or paint that is designed specifically to ensure that mould does not grow on the surfaces that have been treated.

What is ForSite-Pro?

ForSite-Pro is a water based acrylic sealant that is applied to wood, OSB sheathing, wallboard, stucco, and other construction surfaces, to create a mould resistant barrier. ForSite-Pro can be used in new construction and renovation to restore the integrity of mould damaged areas. Ideally, all the wood used in framing a building should be pre-treated with Forsite-Pro.

The coating contains engineered silver ions, a broad spectrum ant-microbial that is extremely effective in preventing the growth of mould on treated materials. Silver is so safe that is it is government approved for use in a broad range of health care products for its anti-microbial properties.

The active ingredient is registered with the United States Enviromental Protection Agency (EPA) as an active ingredient for use in protective coating films. The active ingredient has also been classified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in class III medical devices, as well as the National Sanitation (NSF) for use in food and water applications.

ForSite-Pro uses similar technology, designed and engineered specifically to prevent microbial growth in buildings. ForSite-Pro is installed by a trained certified applicator and is covered by one of the best warranties ever offered for a construction related product.

ForSite-Pro is warranted for 10-20 years (depending upon the application process), and the warranty covers the cost of affected material AND the cost of labour to repair the treated areas. The warranty is also transferable.
